Lead mechanical engineering scopes for first-of-its-kind critical minerals refining facilities, from concept and design through fabrication, installation and commissioning.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical scopes from concept and feasibility through detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning
- Manage vendors through the full equipment lifecycle: specification, RFQ, technical bid evaluation, drawing review, inspection (ITP/FAT) and start-up
- Develop site-wide and area plant layouts with a focus on maintainability, constructability and safety
- Design static equipment (tanks, silos, bins, pressure vessels) including code-based sizing and structural load calculations
- Run finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs for stress, fatigue and thermal loading
- Design and integrate solids-handling systems: silos, hoppers, feeders, conveyors, bucket elevators and chutes
- Support construction and commissioning: RFIs, field changes, installation and start-up
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Static equipment design experience with code-based calculations (ASME, API)
- Experience preparing and reviewing equipment specifications and vendor documentation
- FEA proficiency
- AutoCAD or similar mechanical design software
Nice to have
- Solids-handling and bulk material conveyance equipment
- Pyrometallurgical equipment: rotary kilns, furnaces, dryers
- Mining, mineral processing, cement or chemical plant experience
- CFD / multiphysics simulation
